Details & Storyline
Overview
Aggreko, one of the world’s foremost temporary power and cooling suppliers, and long standing client, partnered with the prestigious SailGP to support the championship’s commitment to a better future. The event provided a perfect opportunity to focus on their partnership, as well as new technologies such as bio-methanol which will be used for the first time.
Rather than on the ground filming, the requirement was for a fully animated 3D piece which took a virtual fly-through of the site, highlighting each of the technologies Aggreko installed and the relationship between them all.
Our process
There were many parts which needed to be combined to bring this together. As the environment was set around various locations of Plymouth Harbour, the initial process was bringing this into a usable 3D format that we could locate and display Aggreko equipment.
Once the environment was built we began creating various models for Aggreko hardware - from batteries to solar, to generators and people. Once everything had been created, we worked closely with the Aggreko team to establish what was positioned where, and producing an animation that would help articulate this to the view.
Once the 3D content had been finalised and rendered - we then went on further to tie everything together in an edit with stats highlighting end results of the event.
Deliverables
We created a series of various formatted films to work across all social media platforms, and gave attention to detail on pertinent points of the solutions that Aggreko put in place across the SailGP event.
